How To Uninstall Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2007? Full Guide Lines

To uninstall and completely remove all components of SharePoint 2007, do the following:

1. In Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs:

1. Remove Office SharePoint Server 2007
2. Remove Windows Workflow Foundation (if “original” 2007 Beta 2)
3. Remove .Net Framework 3.0 (if 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh)

2. In IIS manager, if any exist, delete all SharePoint 2007 web sites and application pools, including (but not limited to):

1. Web sites

i.    Main web application

ii.    SSP application

iii.    “Office Server Web Services”

iv.    “SharePoint Central Administration v3”

2. Application pools:

i.    “OfficeServerApplicationPool”

ii.    “SharePoint Central Administration v3”

iii.    Any other pools not in use after web sites in 2a have been deleted

3. In SQL Server Management Studio, delete all databases related to SharePoint 2007, typically:

1.  “SharePoint_Config”
2. “SharePoint_AdminContent_xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xx”
3. “SharedServices1_DB”
4. “SharedServices1_Search_DB”
5. “WSS_Content”
6. “WSS_Search_xxxx”

4. Delete the following folders:

1. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12
2. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Servers

5. Delete relevant web site folders from %datadrive%\Data\Web Sites\
6. Using regedit, delete the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server Extensions\12.0
